Artist's Description

Realistic acrylic painting of the Hoogeveen Reading Board with illustrator Cornelis Jetses, painted by the Dutch fine artist Paul Meijering - the original painting is 90 x 120 cm

Cornelis Jetses (Groningen, 23 June 1873 - Wassenaar, 9 June 1955) was a Dutch illustrator. Jetses became best known for his detailed illustrations in school books, school records and historical prints. He also worked as a book binding designer.
